Is Maya Abdominal Therapy safe for everyone?

This therapy is a gently and non-invasive, however there are some contraindications. Please disclose any recent surgeries, active infections, pregnancy, pr pther health conditions on your intake form so we can ensure your session is safe and appropriate for your needs.

How many sessions will I need?

Every body is different. Some clients notice shifts after a single session, while others benefit from a series of visits. We'll discuss what we recommend based on your individual needs during your first session. 

What should I expect from my first session?

Your first session includes a castor oil pack treatment while we review your intake form, followed by hands-on work to the abdomen, lower back, hips, and sacral area.

Maya Abdominal Therapy begins with an initial two-sessiom series designed to give your body and your practitioner the time and space needed to do this work well.

Session One

Your first session beings with a castor oil pack treatment applied to the area of need while we take time to bring you and your experience to the moment by reveiwing the intake form together. This unhurried intake process allows us to understand your full history before hands-on work begins. Gabrielle will perform the full maya abdominal massage to the abdomen, lower back, hips, and sacral area addressing tension, restirction, and stagnation at their root. 

 

Session Two

Your second session builds on the foundation of the first. Following a secondround of hands-on treatment, Gabrielle will guide you through a daily self-care massage peactice you can take home, empowering you to continue supporting your body's restoration between sessions.

Because the body holds more than we realize, we've designed the initial series to honor the depth of this work; giving you the space to receive it fully without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
